ABOUT US

The Shakespeare Inn is located in Bridgnorth and is a warm, casual, dog friendly pub with a courtyard and a function room. Marie and Dave Whelan became the new Landlords in January 2019 with all three of their children working alongside them.

 

At the Shakespeare we are passionate about supporting the community and regularly host local events in our function room, including:

-The Hightown Writers Workshop

- Bridgnorth History Day 

- The Lions Young Person Recognition Awards

- 'Sustainable Bridgnorth; Prevent Pointless Plastic 

- Bridgnorth Open House Art Trail

- 80's Night Fundraiser for Humanitarian Trip to Nepal

- Local Book Signings

- Business Seminars to support Bridgnorth's Great British High Street Win

In addition the Shakespeare has recently won the Joe Goodwin CAMRA Pub Design Award for Best Street Corner Local held in conjunction with Historic England.

SHOWCASE OF SOME OF OUR FOOD

Below we have:

- Beef Stroganoff with an 8oz flat iron steak

- Stuffed & Rolled Belly of Pork in a Rich Cider Gravy with mashed potatoes, roasted parsnips & carrots.
- Pan Fried Coley with white rice & ratatouille.
- Pork & Black Pudding Scotch Eggs with a crispy side salad.
- Pan Fried Duck Breasts with sautéed potatoes, asparagus & redcurrant jus.
- Pan Fried Seabass with hassle back new potatoes, side salad and a roasted red pepper sauce.
